NaPodPoMo 2024 – Day 6 – Thriving in All Seasons of Life
Welcome back to RadicalRx. I’m Ellen K. Martin, and today, we’re diving into the heart of what it means to thrive.
Thriving, to me, isn’t about living a flawless life or having everything go perfectly. It’s about embracing every part of our journey, even the challenges, and finding purpose in both the bright and the difficult days.
I want to share a bit of my story, because, as many of you know, there are days when I feel vibrant, full of energy, and able to get outside for a brisk walk or a ride on my ebike and to breathe in the fresh air…
In fact, some days I feel relatively pain-free and energetic!
But there are also days when even getting out of bed can be a challenge.
Thriving, I’ve come to realize, is about finding strength and resilience on all of those days.
It’s about making the choice to keep going, even when it would be easier to stay still.
In those moments, I remind myself that each step matters, that movement—no matter how small—keeps us from stagnating.
And that, in itself, is a form of thriving.
At RadicalRx, we talk a lot about Radical Ownership. This idea is at the core of what it means to thrive. Radical Ownership means taking complete responsibility for our choices, our health, and our mindset.
Life isn’t always in our control, but our response to it can be. When we own our journey, even the hard parts, we reclaim our power.
Thriving, then, becomes less about what happens to us and more about how we choose to respond.
I want to invite you to pause and think about this. What does thriving look like for you, right now, in this season?
It might not look like anyone else’s version of thriving, and that’s okay. Maybe it’s about prioritizing rest and recovery, or maybe it’s about setting a small goal and working towards it little by little.
What small steps can you take, today, to own your journey and move closer to the life you want to live?
So, remember, thriving isn’t about perfection. It’s about resilience, about learning to navigate our path with grace, and about allowing ourselves to grow, even in the difficult moments.
Each day offers a new opportunity to thrive, to be present, and to find joy, even in the smallest ways.
Thanks for joining me on this journey.
Take care, and until next time, don’t forget to breathe!
